Jake Thomas (Lizzie McGuire, ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) will be joining Marg Hegenberger (CSI) for her "Celebrity Weekend" to benefit the Cancer Center at Nebraska Medical Center this weekend in Omaha, Nebraska.
 
Saturday (Oct 22) Jake and others will attend the Celebration of Courage Brunch fundraiser for cancer survivors at the Qwest Center. Then Saturday night Jake, Marg and other celebrities will play each other in the Absolute Poker Texas Hold 'Em Challenge at Club Nico in Omaha.

Jake's new film, National Lampoon Clubhouse's TRICK OR TREAT will be released in September '06 in theaters nationwide. NL Clubhouse is a new division of the Lampoon that targets films for "tweens" with G and PG films.

Jake has been cast in the starring role of the feature, TRICK OR TREAT. The film is the first release in the new National Lampoon Clubhouse lineup that will have only PG or PG-13 ratings. The film begins shooting on June 5th in LA on Hollywood Boulevard, at Griffith Park Observatory and around many other Hollywood landmarks. Release date is set for Halloween 2005.

Jake's new movie, DINOCROC, has its World Premiere this Saturday, April 24th at 9:00pm (in most cities) on the Sci-Fi Channel.

Jake has been nominated for BEST YOUNG SUPPORTING ACTOR IN A COMEDY SERIES for his role as "Matt McGuire" in the TV series, LIZZIE McGUIRE. Awards will be presented on May 8th. For more details go here!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (March 25, 2004)

(Studio City)  In February, fourteen year old child star, Jake Thomas (Lizzie McGuire, Artificial Intelligence), made a dramatic turn from his comedic LIZZIE McGUIRE character and starred in CBS's "Without A Trace" as a young boy that was bullied by classmates with near-tragic results. That episode had nearly 21 million viewers who at the end of the show saw a suicide prevention number. Within three minutes that number received over 400 calls.

Friday the CBS Early Show is airing a story on bullies in our schools today. They are showing how that episode of "Without A Trace" has become suggested for viewing in schools across the nation. See CBS News or http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/03/24/earlyshow/living/parenting/main608395.shtml.

This was a very intense role for Jake that called for him to perform in some compromising and difficult circumstances. The filming called for a stunt coordinator to be present during many of his scenes while Jake performed all his own stunts needed for this physical role. There is no announcement on when this episode will repeat, but when it does parents may want to watch this episode with their teenage children.

Jake stars in two upcoming films, "THE CUP" and "DINOCROC." Jake also starred in National Lampoon's "Christmas Vacation 2" during the holidays. Jake is currently meeting with various producers about new TV shows.

VARIOUS: POPSTAR magazine has a full page spread on Jake in its latest issue...Jake just recently was one of the celebrity hosts in Vail for the American Ski Classic fund raiser where he won 3 of his downhill ski races...Jake will be appearing at KIDZ FAIR in Nashville April 3-4 in Nashville.
